Dermatology DepartmentThe Dermatology Department at the Hospital for Sick Children announces the beginning of a new combined multidisciplinary clinic for children (age 0-18 years) with Epidermolysis Bullosa in January 2004. It will be held in Clinic 9 (Main floor, Elm wing) on the last Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm. The clinic will have expertise from plastic surgery, dermatology, a wound care specialist (Dr. Gary Sibbald), a wound care nurse and a social worker. Arrangements have also been made with dentistry, GI and hematology for the children to be seen, if necessary, on the same day in the morning. Children who have been seen previously at Sick Children’s Hospital will receive a follow-up appointment in the specialized clinic. Children who have been diagnosed with EB, but are not currently followed at Sick Children’s Hospital will require a referral letter and will be seen in the regular Dermatology clinic. After the first consultation visit, they will be followed-up in the specialized EB clinic. For inquires please contact: New Referral Follow-up Appointments Clinic Nurse and Co-ordinator |
