Update!

The First Annual Janna Terkuc Memorial Golf Tournament in June 2005 was a HUGE success.

This Sold Out event not only helped raise awareness about EB, but raised over $23,000.00 for dEBra Canada's ongoing initiatives to assist individuals and families affected by  EB.

The evening, hosted by The Bear's Stunt Man Stu, consisted of a great prime rib dinner, Live Auction, Silent  Auction and special guest speaker's Jay Wilson, from DEBRA Canada, who is also the father of three children, two who are afflicted with EB, and Alice Ervin, a 19 year local journalism student at Carleton, who is afflicted with EB herself.

Their unique experiences with EB and their amazing outlook on life was truly inspiring.

We are proud to have had so many wonderful businesses and individuals stand behind us that day, it was truly amazing to think that so many had faith in our vision. Many of these companies not only generously sponsored the day, but also sent along golfer's to enjoy in the event, and enjoy it they did. Also a number of local businesses helped us out by donating their time and services to help us get this tournament off the ground and give it the professional feel that it had.

The day ran smoothly thanks to Janna's Angel's, the dedicated group of friends and family who helped make our  vision come alive. And It seems that everyone in attendance agrees that it was a fun filled day and a must for next year's calendar.

We will be having  another tournament next year, although the date has not yet been set. Be sure however, to keep an eye out for updates so you book your spot early and not be left behind! For all of you who were able to make it, thanks and hope to see you next year!
